Mommy, Why Do You Hate Me?

Annie has always been the target of her mother Maggie's hatred, punished for things a child should never be blamed for. When Maggie remarries John, a warm and loving man who treats Annie like his own daughter, it should finally mean safety — instead, it makes things worse. Behind John's back, Maggie stages "accidents," twists the truth, and punishes every moment of affection between him and Annie, while playing the perfect wife in public. As John's suspicions slowly grow, Annie is running out of time before her mother's cruelty goes too far.
