Yoon Seungho, eldest son of the powerful Yoon clan, brings Baek Nakyeom — a chunghwa of lowborn origin — into his quarters to paint for him. What begins as a transaction slowly grows complicated: Nakyeom accepts Seungho's proposal for the sake of Jeong Inheon, but finds herself developing feelings she cannot name. As Inheon's jealousy, Jihwa's obsession, and Min Doryeong's schemes collide, kidnappings and conspiracies follow — and the two are forced to face each other's deepest wounds.
